Racing since 2005, the Red Bull Racing team tries to make its way in the closed and exclusive world of Formula 1. Till the end of 2009, 89 races competed in and "only" six victories ...Who would have bet that the Red Bull Racing would sign double Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ World Champion 2010* for Sebastian Vettel?
2010 is the year when Red Bull Racing breaks all its past accumulated records: nine victories, including four for Mark Webber and five for Sebastian Vettel but especially four one-twos, the first and second step of the podium. A happy finale for a fascinating season because, at any time, we could not predict what will happen. At the end of the first two races of the season, Webber had gained only six points and Vettel didn’t finish the second race. Risk-taking is imperative to win and the risk of error increases. The Vettel and Webber one-two launched their season at the Malaysian race. Others races succeed one another with their crop of incidents and victories. Four drivers alternately took the lead in the championship.
During the last two races, the World championships still remain accessible for the Austrian team. Red Bull Racing is consecrated Manufacturers’ World Champion 2010* at the Brazilian Grand Prix thanks to a magnificent Vettel-Webber one-two. But there remains one last race.
So to know the Drivers’ World Champion 2010, it will be necessary to wait for the last race. Four drivers can be champion, the suspense is at its highest.
During 55 laps of the circuit, Sebastian Vettel leads his race in a masterful way and controls perfectly his position. He wins not only this last race but also the championship. He is henceforth the youngest Drivers’ World Champion 2010* at 23 years and 135 days. It is the best reward for the Renault - Red Bull Racing partnership.
