More fuel-efficient and smarter driving can save you money and help the environment.

Buying a greener car doesn't mean you have to compromise. More fuel efficient cars use less fuel so they produce fewer emissions, as well as saving you money on fuel bills and on Road Tax (Road Fund Licence). When you're looking at the fuel efficiency of a car remember:

  • different versions of the same car model or type of car can vary significantly in fuel efficiency - so buy a more fuel efficient version of the type of car or model you want
  • as a general rule, smaller cars and cars with smaller engines are more fuel efficient

Here we aim to bring together all the information you need to help you make a decision about which version to choose based upon:

  • the CO2 emissions
  • the vehicles economy (mpg)
  • the Annual Road Tax (Road Fund Licence)

With more and more vehicles meeting the Renault eco2 requirements, you do not have to compromise on the car of your choice. This gives you the freedom to buy the vehicle you actually want whilst considering the environment and how to save money at the same time.
