Energy is a new range of ecological and economical engines, built on Renault’s F1 know-how. They use a whole team of technologies – like Stop & Start and regenerative braking – that’s unprecedented at this level. Their forward-looking achievement is to combine lowest possible CO2 emissions with reduced fuel consumption. Best of all, it’s not at the expense of pure enjoyment either: torque’s improved, and acceleration is livelier than ever.
The dCi 110 is the best selling of all the Renault engines. It is efficient and economical – both in terms of cost to purchase and to use. It is also very versatile and adaptable, which is why Renault have produced over 1 million and used it in almost all the models in range – from Modus to Laguna , Clio and Scénic.
New for 2012 is the introduction of the 'ENERGY' dCi 110 – known as dCi 110 'Stop & Start' in the UK. With many technological innovations, this engine produces more torque (now 260 NM (+20NM), has lower CO2 emissions and improved fuel consumption. The CO2 level of 90 g/km and the combined fuel consumption figure of 80.7mpg are very impressive.
This is all achieved by utilizing the very latest engine technology – much of which comes from Renault's Formula 1 experience and expertise.
