  The large touchscreen is within easy reach of both the driver and the front-seat passenger, and with steering wheel controls and voice recognition, the R-Link is a system that was designed with driving in mind. Users will be able to intuitively identify R-Link information and service icons, as they are similar to smartphone features.

  R-Link adapts to your requirements, making life simple. You selected your homepage and R-Link does the rest – recognizing your smartphone and saving your telephone contact list.

  Integrated into the centre console and easily accessible, the R-Link is designed to be used without compromising your safety. The ergonomic touchscreen with its instantly recognizable icons make the R-Link very easy to use. Any content which might distract you (e.g. photos or videos) is blocked until the car is stationary. If you have chosen the “Text to speech” option, the R-Link will even read your new messages out loud for you. Thanks to the steering wheel controls, you can answer calls safely, even when driving in traffic. You can also call contacts or enter a new destination while keeping both hands on the wheel and without your eyes leaving the road for even a second.

Multimedia made simple

You can use R-Link to listen to the radio, rock out to your favourite tracks or view your photos and videos (only when stationary), and you can even use it to play children’s games on thanks to Bluetooth, jack and USB connections.

Hands-free calling

When you get into your vehicle, the Renault R-Link synchronizes your phone book and updates your contact list and their photos according to the information available on your phone.

Making calls is simple: while stationary, you can enter a new number or search for a contact using the R-Link touchscreen and once you are on the move, you can enjoy the convenience of voice recognition.

What does Eco² have to offer me?

Driving assessment: this is a report based on measurements taking while you are driving. You will get an overall mark out of 100, which takes three criteria into account: acceleration, braking and gear changes (non-electric vehicles only).

Eco coaching: at the end of your trip, you will receive an advice sheet based on your overall score. This will indicate which driving habits/styles can help you reduce fuel consumption or improve your electric vehicle’s battery life.

Dual-setting ionizer to improve air quality:

“Clean” helps to reduce airborne bacteria, allergen and microbe levels for a healthier in-car environment.

“Relax” is designed to achieve a better balance between positive and negative ions in the passenger cell for a feeling of pure serenity.

A pollution sensor provides you with real-time information on exterior air quality. If it detects that the vehicle is in a polluted environment, the air conditioning is automatically switched to “recycle” mode to prevent pollutants from entering the vehicle.

An active air freshener diffuser allows you to alternate between two scents to suit your mood. Choose two from the total of eight available as optional extras.

Services: R-Link applications

Use the applications which have been pre-installed on the R-Link, including email, Twitter, weather reports and Renault Assistance, or select more from the Renault R-Link catalogue either from the comfort of your car or using your PC.

In the Clio, for example, you can install the R-Sound Effect app, which simulates a variety of different engine sounds, making driving even more fun! Have you always wanted to hear how a V8 engine responds to your acceleration and speed? No problem – even if you are driving the economy model!
