The Electric Car Grant is a government incentive designed to make new zero exhaust pipe emission cars more affordable. It provides a discount on the purchase price of eligible fully electric vehicles.
The grant amount depends on the environmental band of the vehicle:
Anyone purchasing a new, eligible fully electric car in the UK can benefit, provided the vehicle meets the scheme’s criteria. The discount is applied automatically at the point of sale — you do not need to apply separately.
