The Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric has been recognised as the number one electric car for households after being named the ‘Best Family EV’ at the Topgear.com Awards 2024.
The experts in the What Car? team praised the Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric for its style, ease of driving, and remarkable value for money, adding that the Zoe continues to offer a comprehensive package that remains hard to beat.
Designed to blend electric modernity and useful technologies with a more sustainable design, the Scenic E-Tech electric scooped the prestigious award after impressing the website’s judges with its unrivalled fusion of space, ease-of-use, style and driving dynamics.
The coveted accolade follows hot on the heels of the pure-electric crossover winning the ‘Car of the Year 2024’ title, which was presented earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show and awarded by 59 car journalists from 22 countries.
Describing the reasons for haloing the Scenic E-Tech 100% electric as the best EV for families, Jack Rix, Editor of Topgear.com said:
“The Scenic is on the face of it the car for hard-working families, generous as it is in space, versatility, value and economy, but it’s so much more than that. It’s great looking and nicely furnished inside, with a really usable screen interface, and it’s also terrific to drive, being agile and perky while not feeling flimsy. The choice of two batteries and a range of up to 379 miles (WLTP) add to its appeal.”
Guillaume Sicard, Country Head UK & Managing Director Renault Brand UK, added:
''Scenic has always been a gamechanger and the Scenic E-Tech 100% electric continues this legacy, rewriting the rules of what a family-focused car should be. As this award recognises, it provides all the practicality, connectivity and usability that today’s modern families require, while literally delivering it all in style and with a superb driving experience.”
