speed limiter
To avoid speeding, simply set your desired speed limit, and let your Renault 4 keep you safely within the limit
cruise control
Keep your Renault 4 steady at your desired speed, perfect for a more relaxed drive on the motorway.
adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go feature**
It adjusts Renault 4’s speed according to your preferences and the traffic. The cruise control applies the brakes, coming to a complete stop if needed, when the distance from the vehicle in front is too short, and accelerates when the road is clear.
intelligent adaptive cruise control*
In addition to the adaptive cruise control, it analyses road conditions (such as dangerous bends, roundabouts, etc.) to proactively adjust Renault 4’s speed.
active driver assist*
The intelligent adaptive cruise control works with lane centering to adjust speed based on traffic, maintain safe distances, and keep you centred in your lane. If traffic slows down, Renault 4 stops, and starts again automatically when the lane is clear.
distance warning
The front radar sensor calculates the safe distance between Renault 4 and the vehicle in front. If this distance is too short and there is a risk of collision, the system triggers an audible and visual alert.
hill start assist
Hill start assist activates when you start on a slope greater than 3%. The brakes on your Renault 4 are held for 2 seconds, giving you time to accelerate and reducing the risk of rolling back.
park assist
rear park assist
Renault 4’s rear sensors trigger audible and visual warnings to indicate the presence of any obstacles behind the vehicle.
front park assist
The front radar sensors trigger both audible and visual warnings when obstacles are detected in front of your Renault 4.
side park assist
As you manoeuvre your Renault 4, the sensors use a combination of audible and visual alerts to warn you of obstacles to the side of the vehicle.
rear view camera
When you put your Renault 4 into reverse, the camera displays a rear view of your surroundings on the screen. Guiding lines make your manoeuvres easier.
hand free parking**
The system locates a suitable parking spot, then takes the wheel and controls the steering. You maintain control of the speed while your Renault 4 parks itself with ease.
rear cross traffic alert*
Poor rear visibility or blind spots? The Renault 4 system alerts you if you’re getting too close to an obstacle you can’t see.

The system warns you of vehicles in your blind spot (above 9 mph) with a light signal in the wing mirror of your Renault 4.
traffic sign recognition with speed alert
The system detects traffic signs and displays speed limit changes on the openR screen. It alerts you if you exceed the speed limit.
active emergency braking
If the system detects a risk of collision with pedestrians, cyclists or vehicles, it automatically applies the brakes to stop your Renault 4.
intersection automatic emergency braking system
It warns of the risk of imminent collision with oncoming vehicles, for example, when making a left turn at a junction. If danger persists without a response, it automatically applies Renault 4’s brakes.
lane departure warning
If you unintentionally cross a solid or broken line, the system alerts you by vibrating the steering wheel.
active lane keeping assist system
If you cross a solid or broken line without indicating, the system gently steers your Renault 4 back into its lane.
front and rear detection with emergency trajectory correction
If the system detects a collision risk with a vehicle overtaking Renault 4 or approaching head-on while you’re changing lanes, it alerts you and immediately adjusts your trajectory.
rear automatic emergency braking system*
Renault 4 detects obstacles behind you during manoeuvres. If a collision is imminent, the system automatically brakes to prevent or reduce the impact, enhancing safety when reversing.
safe exit of occupants*
Renault 4 alerts passengers when opening a door poses a danger (vehicles, cyclists). Using sensors, it analyses the surroundings and warns of any potential risk, ensuring enhanced safety.
driver attention alert
Renault 4 monitors signs of fatigue or inattention from the driver using sensors and behaviour analysis. If it detects reduced alertness, it triggers a warning to encourage breaks, ensuring safer driving.
