Yes, the vehicle can be charged from a standard socket. It can also be charged at a standard charging station, allowing AC charging at 11 kW, and at a fast charging terminal up to 330 kW, enabling charging from 15 to 80% in less than 15 minutes ². Incidentally, the charging socket is located behind the upper left-hand scoop.
The vehicle is expected to have a range in excess of 248 miles and it will be equipped with a route planner to guide you to charging points on long journeys. It is adapted to this vehicle’s specific fuel consumption ³.

No, there will be no steering wheel-mounted paddles. Instead, a small rotary knob on the steering wheel is used to set the different levels of regenerative braking. The maximum level will be very high, but will not stop the vehicle as with a one-pedal system.
Yes, the R5 Turbo 3E will have carpeted floors. There will also be a carpet in front of the driver and passenger seats.

The car will be fitted with its own sound system, currently under development.
They'll come as standard. 6-point harnesses will be fitted to driver and passenger seats.
doors and bodywork
We're working on the best possible integration of the door handles, and we'll tell you all about it very soon.
Yes, the body will be made entirely of carbon fibre (structure, wings, doors, roof, bonnet and boot).
wheels and tyres
We chose forged aluminum technology, which is already very efficient in terms of mass.
Michelin is one of the manufacturers we work with to offer the best tyres for this car.
prototype
The first prototype was presented to you for the first time on June 26. There will be various test phases throughout its development.
The prototype is 95% representative, and there will be a few evolutions and potential adjustments on the production vehicle, notably on the front and rear bumpers to optimise aerodynamics.

The weight will be less than 1450 kg. We're aiming for 1,400 kg.

No statistics or figures to speak of, as the car is still under development. Nonetheless, we were able to see that performance was up to scratch, with the driving sensations we wanted, thanks to the wheel-motor technology.
No, this is not planned. R5 Turbo 3E will remain an electric mini supercar.
R5 Turbo 3E's ground clearance is 118 mm.
power and motor
Efficient torque transfer to the ground is achieved by working on the tyres and weight distribution.
The torque of a wheel motor is not directly comparable to that of a conventional motor, since there is no reduction ratio between motor and wheel. That said, performance remains at a very high level, with a 0 to 60 miles/h time of less than 3.5 s.
The wheel-motor is certainly an innovation, but it's a realistic solution because we've corrected the increase in unsprung mass by designing the rear axle. What's more, the wheel-motor brings considerable advantages such as instant torque, agility and a lower centre of gravity, all of which enhance performance and driving pleasure.
R5 Turbo 3E accelerates from 0 to 60 miles in less than 3.5 seconds.
The car generates the same rear axle compression as a conventional motor.
No, because even if these unsprung masses are higher than with a conventional electric motor, we have taken them into account in the dimensioning of all related components (suspension wishbones, hub carriers, dampers, springs, etc.), as well as in the suspension kinematics.
This will be done by electronic management, which will be more efficient with the architecture of the motor in the wheel (faster exchanges between the wheel sensor and the electric motor).

The process takes place in 3 stages.
Step 1: starting at the end of May, you'll have your first meeting with your dealership, to find out whether you'd like to go for customisation or made-to-measure.
Step 2: If you opt for made-to-measure customisation, a remote meeting with a Personal Advisor will be organised to share your wishes. An email will be sent to you 2 days before the meeting to share the link. In addition to your expectations, you can choose where the 3rd meeting will take place: at the Technocentre, at the Défilé or remotely.
Step 3: During this final meeting, you'll work with one of our designers to create your own unique R5 Turbo 3E.

You can choose from 13 liveries presented during the March live stream (replay available on your R5 Turbo 3E Society page). If you opt for the made-to-measure customisation programme, you'll be offered a much wider choice.
The dashboard is fully customisable. Other patterns will be available. As you can see, almost everything can be customised if you opt for the made-to-measure customisation programme.
The RS logo can be affixed to the vehicle if you wish.
Decals will be available to customise the exterior of R5 Turbo 3E.
Customisation prices will be announced this summer.
The colour presented during the livestream (inspired by the Tour de Corse) is one of the proposals that will be available as an option.

We are studying the possibility of offering an additional spoiler, taking into account homologation constraints.

Yes, with the bi-directional AC charger, Renault 5 Turbo 3E will be V2G compatible. But service availability depends on the country.
Yes, your retailer will be able to advise you on the installation of a plug or charging point.
A dedicated charging station or a wallbox up to 11 kW will be ideal, as this is the car's maximum AC charging power. You can even use a standard or reinforced 220 V socket (but the charging time will of course be longer).
R5 Turbo 3E's battery technology is already highly advanced (NMC chemistry, 800 V electrical architecture, DC charging exceeding 300 kW). We're continuing to work on performance to be at it's best in 2027.

The battery warranty will be the same as on the R5 E-Tech, 8 years/100,000 miles.
We're working on it to meet our expectations for this type of car.
Motor endurance is bench tested, as well as on a prototype vehicle, to the usual standards and benefits from the same warranty as other motors.
