I really enjoyed my time at Renault UK, the placement gave me real responsibility and definitely felt like a real job rather than an intern role. I felt throughout my time, the roles of the placement students were widely respected across the whole company. The job also gave me great experience in marketing and on the job training which will be invaluable for me in the future.
Groupe Renault is full of wonderful, friendly people. My line manager especially has turned into a real friend that I will no doubt keep in the future. I felt like a crucial part of my team, with my work being important to the company's progress. Renault felt like a team. Wherever you worked, you were able to meet a large portion of the employees regardless of their department, age or level.
The placement was organised really well, with great support from the HR department. Our first handover period really helped aswell. I feel like I have learned so much in my role about the automotive industry and increased my skill set. You really do gain skills for life! I was given campaings to manage including developing working relationships with external agencies.
I definitely felt valued within the team and i never had to complete work that had no purpose. This was an excellent aspect of my placement year as I could always see the importance of the work I was doing within the overall departmental objectives. I had a number of tasks that the team relied on which highlighted the importance of my position.
