What is the ULEZ?
The Ultra-Low Emission Zone operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year, covering the same area of central London as the Congestion Zone. Put in place to help improve air quality, heavy-polluting vehicles must pay daily charges when entering the area.
As Renault Z.E. vehicles emit no emissions whilst driving, they are exempt from any charges — including the Congestion Zone charges, once the vehicle is registered with Transport For London.
How much does it cost?
The scheme operates from midnight to midnight, so driving within the ULEZ across two days will make you liable for paying two charges.

Renault Z.E. vehicles are exempt from both the ULEZ Charge and Congestion Charge as they have zero tailpipe emissions.

The Mayor of London’s scrappage scheme supports small businesses, sole traders and charities in operating within the ULEZ, allowing them to apply for funding to scrap up to three vans and charity minibuses that don’t meet the standards, switching to cleaner vehicles.

The Renault ZOE comes under category 1, which means it qualifies for the highest level of support - £3,500. As a Renault customer you do not need to apply, your dealer will include the value of the grant in the vehicle’s price.
KANGOO Z.E. & MASTER Z.E.
As a Renault Pro+ customer you do not need to apply, your dealer will include the value of the grant in the vehicle’s price. The grant will pay for 20% of the purchase price for these vehicles, up to a maximum of £8,000.
