Hybrid vehicles: are they manual or automatic?

At Renault, all hybrid vehicles are equipped with automatic gearboxes. This is due to the need to optimally manage the interaction between the internal combustion engine and the electric motor, which is more easily achieved with an automatic transmission.

This automatic management is provided by our multimodal gearbox, specifically developed by Renault for our E-Tech technology.
