hybrid vehicle FAQs

How long does the battery in a hybrid car last?

The electric battery is not always used, as the vehicle also operates using the combustion engine. The wear on the battery is therefore gradual and does not provoke a sufficient loss of capacity to prevent the vehicle from operating.

In addition, the battery is calibrated to maximise its service life by utilising capacity reserves. Furthermore, the traction battery in a Renault hybrid vehicle is covered by an 8-year or 100,000 mile warranty.

You can maximise the battery's lifespan by protecting it from extreme temperatures, especially cold, by parking the vehicle in a sheltered area.
