Renault has officially opened the doors to its first rnlt concept store in the UK, debuting its contemporary new retail environment at London’s Battersea Power Station.

Designed to provide visitors with a comprehensive and immersive experience of the Renault brand, rnlt London Battersea occupies a prime space that is over 200 sq. metres at one of the capital’s most loved and impressive landmarks.

Fittingly located on the neighbourhood’s Electric Boulevard, rnlt London Battersea showcases Renault’s latest pure-electric models, including the multi-award-winning Renault 5, Renault 4, Megane and Scenic, together with accessories and products from the brand’s much-admired Originals Collection. Encompassing everything from skateboards to table football and clothing to scaled-down model Renaults, the Originals Collection of lifestyle merchandise has something for everyone.

As the new all-electric Renault 5 and Renault 4 feature styling cues from the groundbreaking originals, another feature at rnlt London Battersea highlights another revival of something iconic – a vinyl bar. Thanks to a partnership with Sony Music, visitors to the store can sit back and listen to some of the biggest hit records via personal headphones at the Renault Vinyl Bar.

Until 21st September, the jaw-dropping Renault 5 Turbo 3E concept, a supercar for the electric age is also on display.  Affectionately known as Drifter, thanks to its incredible power and rally-inspired looks, the concept is already a proven crowd pleaser after impressing thousands of visitors at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Significantly smaller than a traditional Renault showroom, rnlt London Battersea benefits from an innovative layout that optimises the available space, providing visitors with a striking and colourful display of the brand as soon as they enter the store.

rnlt’s high-profile and high footfall location – with Battersea Power Station having welcomed over 30 million visitors since its public opening in 2022 – mirrors that of Renault’s other global rnlt stories, which are already open, or are due to, in central locations that include Paris, Milan, Brussels, Madrid, Rome, Rotterdam and Berlin.

In the run up to the opening of rnlt London Battersea, the concept was scaled-down further to make an even bigger impact - an incredibly detailed 1:43 replica of the store being installed during the renovation works to give passers-by a sneak peak of the retailer space. Created by model maker Maxime Pécourt, the miniature was built to the same scale as model cars sold in rnlt London Battersea and starred in aptly sized ‘mini clips’ on social media, all of which were filmed on mini cameras.

David Isherwood, Marketing Director, Renault UK, said: “The opening of rnlt London Battersea perfectly illustrates the Renault brand today: French, warm, human and high-tech offering customers something that’s innovative, exciting, relevant and useful. Renault will always have traditional showrooms but rnlt ramps up customer convenience and the
visibility of the brand, guaranteeing that urban visitors and passers-by enjoy an immensely easy to access and totally immersive experience of the brand.”

Harriett Renny, Leasing Director at Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Renault to Battersea Power Station with their exciting new rnlt concept store. We are proud to have created a neighbourhood that is grounded in unique experiences and innovation, and bold brands like Renault help bring that to life by testing new concepts and store designs. With the Power Station having once produced electricity for London, rnlt London Battersea is in the perfect
environment to showcase its cutting-edge electric models.”
