Renault Twingo E-Tech electric, affectionately known as ‘Le Frog’, has made the leap across the Channel to Renault retailers throughout the UK, giving customers nationwide the convenient opportunity to locally experience the new electric city car in the metal.
Left-hand-drive examples of the Renault Twingo E-Tech electric will be on static display across the Renault UK retailer network in a matter of days, offering an exclusive close-up preview ahead of general ordering opening later in the year. In addition, customers are already able to secure priority access through the Renault Twingo R Pass, which allows them to be amongst the first in the queue for the much-anticipated city car.
The display fleet, consisting of over 100 cars all finished in Absolute Green, was brought over specially from France. After landing in the UK, they are in the process of being distributed to official Renault retailers across the country on dedicated transporters, filled only with Renault Twingo E-Tech electric. The distinctive convoy marked the next stage in the build-up to the model going on sale in the UK.
Interest in Renault’s latest electric icon has continued to grow since its official reveal, echoing the early enthusiasm generated by Renault 5 E-Tech electric. Until now, opportunities to see the new model in the UK have been mostly restricted to a series of high-profile appearances.
Following its UK debut at rnlt London Battersea, Renault Twingo E-Tech electric played an important role in the maison renault experience on Oxford Street, where many visitors saw it for the first time. It subsequently made its first major UK automotive event appearance at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Features including One Pedal driving and the availability of OpenR Link with Google built-in (depending on version) bring technology normally associated with larger cars to the A-segment, while Renault Twingo E-Tech electric is targeting a starting price below £20,000.
