Renault R.S. 19
The 2019 competition vehicle is based on a Renault R.S.19 chassis developed and manufactured at the Renault F1 Team centre in Enstone.
Renault E-TECH 19
The Renault E-TECH 19 drivetrain is developed at the Renault Sport Racing plant in Viry-Châtillon.
An experienced team
Nico Hülkenberg is entering his third season with Renault F1 Team, having achieved the best performance of his career last year with 7th place in the championship. Nico started as an elite competitor in 2010 and has since taken part in every F1 season since, with the exception of 2011. Already the holder of 6 titles, including the GP2 Series on his first attempt in 2009, Nico was also victorious at the 24 Hours of Le Mans when he took part in 2015.
Daniel Ricciardo joins Renault F1 Team with a strong career, having won no less than 7 Grands Prix, 29 podiums and 3 pole positions so far. In his career prior to F1, he raced for 4 years with Renault engines in Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula Renault 3.5 before he started at the elite level in mid-2011.
Guanyu Zhou joins the Renault F1 Team to become the development driver for the team as part of the Renault Sport Academy in 2019. The Shanghai native is one of the most promising young Chinese drivers and will be competing at the age of 19 in his first season in Formula 2 - the gateway for F1 - with UNI-Virtuosi Racing. He will participate in 12 Grand Prix meetings and will work with the team at the Enstone simulator.
