Electric vehicle FAQs

Which electric vehicle should you select for motorway trips?

All electric vehicles are suitable for motorway driving. Electric motors offer performance comparable to that of combustion-powered vehicles, with sharp acceleration and a comfortable ride, even at sustained speeds

You simply need to bear in mind a few things to manage your vehicle’s driving range when out and about:

Driving range: The faster you go, the more energy the vehicle will consume (just like a combustion-powered vehicle). To maximise range, it is recommended to drive at 68 mph whenever possible.

Fast chargeThe Renault Scenic can go from 15% to 80% driving range in 37 minutes with DC fast charging*

Easy planning: The route planner built into Google Maps¹ in our E-Tech electric vehicles automatically suggests optimal charging stops based on your range, traffic, and preferences. From the comfort of your home, the My Renault ² app helps you plan your trips with ease.
Another tip: optimise the weight your vehicle is carrying to reduce rolling resistance and energy consumption.

In short: yes, you can travel with peace of mind on the highway in an electric vehicle, with ever-increasing range capabilities and a well-developed fast-charging network.
