Electric vehicle FAQs

What are the charging systems?

There are several ways to charge an electric car, both at home and on the go.

Home charging

Home charging is the most common solution for daily use:

  • Using a standard domestic socket: possible occasionally, but with a longer charging time.
  • Using a reinforced domestic socket (16A): recommended for more regular and safer charging.
  • With a home charging point: for greater convenience and reduced charging times, installing a station with at least 7 kW capacity is advised.

Public charging

When traveling, you can charge your device at many public charging stations:

  • You can charge your vehicle at charging points (typically providing 7 to 22 kW) or public charging stations located on public roads, in public car parks, or in shopping centres.
  • Finally, most high-power fast-charging stations (150 kW and above), which are ideal for long trips and quick charging, are located along major motorways.
